SAR 1 Spring Haul Out
SAR1 Heads back to the water this afternoon after two days of cleaning and maintenance by the volunteer members of Station 1.
Well over 200 volunteer hours inspected, checked and serviced the rescue boat from stem to stern.
Ready for another busy season on the water.
2019 RCMSAR 1 Bravo Haulout
One hundred and thirty volunteer hours on a sunny weekend performing the annual haul out of SAR1B. All spic and span and ready for another year on the water.
On board gear spread out prior to re-stowing. SAR1B is equipped to deal with most marine emergencies.
BC Community Gaming Grant
Thanks to the Province of BC for the Community Gaming Grant. A major source of funding which keeps SAR 1 and SAR 1B on the water over 500 hours per year.

RCM•SAR Station 1 – West Vancouver
Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue has 31 stations on the west coast.
Based in Horseshoe Bay, RCM•SAR Station 1 responds to marine emergencies in Southern Howe Sound and English Bay.
RCM•SAR is supported by the West Vancouver Marine Rescue Society - WVMRS. A registered charity (CRA Registration #82103 2687 RR0001) , the Society raises funds to cover the stations's operating and capital expenses.
