SAR 1 Heading to Titan Boats for some TLC
While most of the maintenance on the two Station 1 rescue boats is carried out by the volunteer members, every now and then the nature of the work is beyond the scope of the team. SAR1 is off to Titan Boats for a week for some welding and tube repairs.
On the Water
Volunteer members of Station 1 are on the water Monday to Thursday evenings and the weekends. Available on call 7/24, on average away from the dock within 14 minutes.

RCM•SAR Station 1 – West Vancouver
Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue has 31 stations on the west coast.
Based in Horseshoe Bay, RCM•SAR Station 1 responds to marine emergencies in Southern Howe Sound and English Bay.
RCM•SAR is supported by the West Vancouver Marine Rescue Society - WVMRS. A registered charity (CRA Registration #82103 2687 RR0001) , the Society raises funds to cover the stations's operating and capital expenses.
